Fire burns down Sutherlin store

SUTHERLIN — A commercial structure fire in the 200 block of West Central Avenue was knocked down within eight minutes of the Sutherlin Fire Department arriving on the scene Sunday evening.

Upscale Resale posted on its social media account, “I’m deeply saddened to share that Upscale Resale burned down tonight. Thank you to everyone for your support during this difficult time.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No civilians or firefighters were injured at the fire.

Sutherlin Fire Department was dispatched to the fire at 8:44 p.m. Sunday and found the building with heavy smoke and fire coming from multiple openings. The first crews arrived on the scene three and half minutes after being dispatched and immediately upgraded the fire to call for additional assistance.

In total, three engines, one ladder truck, two command cars and one ambulance with more than 26 personnel from various agencies responded.
